Sudhir Choudhrie Career Trajectory as A Successful Businessman and Heart Transplant Survivor
Sudhir Choudhrie is a professional entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. Despite many life-threatening challenges he has encountered along his career journey, Sudhir has created a great legacy and positive impact for those around him. Sudhir is an Indian native-born in 1949 and raised singlehandedly by his mother since his father had passed away when he was still a young boy. However, Sudhir Choudhrie, a London-based entrepreneur, was diagnosed with a rare heart condition when he was eight years, a condition that proved his heart could completely fail any time of the day.
According to the medical doctors, Sudhir's heart had a leaking valve that could cause his heart to skip and could have led to complete heart failure. After graduating from high school with excellent high grades, Sudhir Choudhrie earned a position at the University of Delhi, where he pursued a degree in economics. After completing his studies at the University of Delhi, Sudhir joined his father in running a real estate business for a short while before venturing into his entrepreneurship activities. In 1975, Sudhir Choudhrie established the Magnum Trading Company Limited to explore India's emerging stock market. He later diverted his interests into tourism, where he invested in the Taj Hotels and Resort and Adidas AG. In addition, Sudhir has heavily invested in India's major budget airline, Airline Deccan, since 2003. Sudhir was still struggling with his heart condition during this whole period, but in 1999, a compatible heart donor was found. Currently, Sudhir is the longest heart transplant survivor worldwide.
Sudhir Choudhrie is currently based in London and running businesses in the aviation, healthcare, and hospitality sectors. In addition, Sudhir has served as the Vice-Chairman of Alpha C& C Group company founded by his son. Sudhir is also an author; he wrote a book known as From My Heart, which became the best-selling book on Amazon.
